Here is a new Oak Leaf Pendant lampI just made, it's one of a kind, about 18"tall and 12"dia with Amber Mica. The chain is unique as well. This lamp is available just call 970-946-9004.
It's so classy. I zoomed in the photos and I saw the hand forged iron hooks attached to the pendant itself. It will let the hanger to stay in the hook and lessen the detachment possibility. I was wondering how it was done with a hand. Forged iron hardware this small will be difficult to make. Wonderful.
Mike’s metal working career had an early beginning. By the young age of nine years old Mike had learned to weld. He has been cutting, welding, forming, machining, and forging metal ever since. While working on a degree in manufacturing engineering, Mike built prototype products for the aerospace, electronics and medical industries. Mike later started his own firm called Granada Machining & Design.
In the mid “80’s” Mike tired of the fast pace of the industrial business world. With his love for the outdoors, he was drawn to making a move to Southwestern Colorado.
Mike revived his fascination with blacksmithing by starting Colorado Forge. Mike states that the inspiration for his work is twofold. First, is the overwhelming beauty of the San Juan Mountains where he has lived for over twenty five years. Second is the fascinating connection of the 19th Century craftsmanship and modern technologies, with emphasis on the quality in workmanship that has been handed down through the centuries. Mike’s work, and what he loves most about is work, is the longevity that it exemplifies, and that his pieces and projects will be considered heirlooms for generations to come.
